What better time than just under a month away from the long awaited Model 3 “handover party”? As many of you are aware, on Friday, July 28th, the first 30 customers will be taking home their new Tesla Model 3 – two weeks ahead of schedule! Soon after, according to Musk’s tweet[link], we will see an exponentially increasing production rate of the vehicle until the production capacity of the factories is reached. Reservation or not, we can all acknowledge the significance of these upcoming events in the ultimate mission of the company as Tesla enters the mainstream auto market.

According to the Teslarati, more juicy details have surfaced with accompanying photographic evidence! Photos of a Model 3 parked at a Supercharger give us a better idea of the interior details and an “impressive 300+ mile range”. Some more details are made available on the “Model S & 3 Comparison Sheet”. If you haven’t had a chance to get a glance of these relative specifications, here’s a quick summary:
  • 6 sec 0-100 km/h
  • 345+ km range
  • Pay Per Use Supercharging
  • Manual trunk; 400 liter Front & Rear Trunk Cargo Volume
  • 1 Digital Display – 15” Center Touchscreen
  • 18” or 19” Wheels
  • Optional Glass Roof
  • Coil Suspension
Now, we want to hear from you! What are your thoughts on the projected production rate? Do you have a Model 3 reservation and if so, can you estimate when you will receive based on this news? As always, we would love to hear from you!
